The Marketing Manger's Yearbook

The Marketing Manager's Yearbook 2007

Using the Directory

The Directory is divided into two main sections:
Major UK Companies and Advisers & Suppliers of Services

Top ^

Major UK Companies

The main section of The Marketing Manager’s Yearbook 2007 contains an alphabetical list of more than 10,000 major UK companies. A sample entry showing all the information included within these entries can be seen on the sample entries page. The main criteria for an entry is a minimum of 100 employees with a designated marketing post holder and/or a marketing budget of over £100,000. It may be the case that subsidiary companies with a reasonably high number of employees are listed under the parent company entry as the marketing function is centralised there. Wherever possible, subsidiary companies are listed under their own entry.

This section is of principle interest to:

  • Marketing managers who wish to contact the marketing departments of other major UK companies
  • Suppliers, job seekers or researchers wishing to identify specific individuals in the marketing department
  • Researchers looking to gain an insight into the marketing function in major UK companies.

Because of the volume of information within the book, three key indexes are contained at the end of this section. These enable users to identify major companies by:

  • Geographical Region - by county
  • Business Activity - by industry. This also indicates the number of companies per listed industry at the beginning of each category
  • Standard Industrial Classification. This lists in full the SIC codes found within the entries.

Advisers and Suppliers of Services

The other main section of the book is the Advisers & Suppliers section. This contains listings on 5,000 companies providing services and products to the marketing industry.
